Getting Started as Operator
Create a Vault: Set up your own Maker Vault by selecting the pool and AUM Fee setting. You will need to pay an vault creating fee in METRO Token.
Deposit Initial Liquidity: Search your own vault in the all vault list and add seed liquidity to the vault to kickstart its operations. This demonstrates your commitment and provides a foundation for potential participants.
Kickstart your Vault: At the beginning all your liquidity will be in the reserve. Therefore you need to set up your position for the first time after step 2 with deciding your shape, bin number and active/inactive ratio.
Manage, Monitor and Adjust your vault: Continuously monitor the vault's performance and market conditions. Make real-time adjustments to liquidity positions to ensure optimal returns and efficient risk management. Design and implement strategies to optimize the vault’s liquidity, focusing on maximizing fee generation and minimizing impermanent loss. Use your market insights to adapt positions dynamically.
IMPORTANT - Refresh your vault frequently To ensure that your users can join and leave your vault, you need to trigger the refresh button at least every 72 hours. The timer below will show you, when you refreshed your vault the last time. If you dont refresh frequently, our dev operator will do it and will tag your vault with a low activity score.
Earn Operator Fees: Collect a AUM fee on the total liquidity locked in the vault. As the vault grows and performs well, your earnings will increase proportionally. You need to refresh or rebalance the vault to collect the fee. The collected fee will be automatically transferred to the operator wallet.
Build Your Reputation: Maintain transparency and consistently deliver results. Over time, successful management will attract more participants, increasing your vault’s influence and TVL. You can share the vault's link and details with the community to attract participants. Highlight your expertise, strategy, and the potential returns for users to encourage deposits and grow the vault’s TVL. You can join our Maker Club to access the Metropolis community which will help building your reputation.
Close Vault If you dont want to manage the vault anymore, click on settings and klick on close your vault. This will set your vault as inactive which shows the users that they should leave your vault. After some time we will set this vault as closed which will remove your operator role and all liquidity will go inactive into withdraw qeue automatically. Users can then claim their liquidity at any time.
